Thank you, @Dipas, for sharing. I'm so glad to hear your relationship with your ex's children has worked out! Unfortunately, some people choose to stay in victim mentality for a long time (or even forever) thus giving away their power to the external circumstances and others. There is nothing we can do besides letting go and giving them space to walk their path. Who knows, maybe one day they will decide to take ownership of their lives and emotions, but there are no guarantees.
